Art Raffle for Community Engagement Council – Tickets on Sale Now

July 1 @ 9:00 am - August 10 @ 5:00 pm

An original watercolor painting by award winning local artist, the late Richard DePaul, depicts a section of Duke of Gloucester Street that features the Palmer House and the well known Shields Tavern. A native of Philadelphia and graduate of Philadelphia College of Art, Dick called Williamsburg home for over 30 years. He began his “second career” as a watercolor artist upon retirement. He particularly enjoyed painting the architecture of Colonial Williamsburg as evidenced in the care he gave to capturing the details of the buildings and the play of light and shadow.
An excellent example of his style of painting, this framed piece of artwork, valued at $1,800.00, measures approximately 15” high x 28” wide. And it could be yours!
On August 10th, the Community Engagement Council of Hickory Neck Church will be hosting a Wine Tasting Fundraiser and raffling this fine piece of artwork to raise funds for their outreach efforts. You do not need to attend to purchase raffle tickets.
Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five. Raffle tickets are available for purchase until August 10 at the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM services. For more information and to purchase raffle tickets contact Janell Nickols at 757-561-3093 or
