This Sunday Services Canceled

After extensive counsel with parish leadership, and examining the condition of our parking lot at Hickory Neck, all in-person activities at Hickory Neck will be cancelled this Sunday, February 1. Unfortunately, due to the shade our lovely trees provide, much of the parking lot has large sections of thick ice that has not melted since last weekend, despite plowing and salt treatment.  Meanwhile, due to below-freezing temperatures, any melting that has been happening is daily turning into black ice in front of the New Chapel and Wilkinson Center.  Whether we get snow or not on Saturday and Sunday, out of an abundance of caution and with everyone’s safety in mind, both church services and all activities at Hickory Neck this coming Sunday, February 1, are canceled.

A service of Morning Prayer has been scheduled on our Facebook Page: (https://www.facebook.com/Hickory.Neck/) and will also be available on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@hncwebminister540) on Sunday at 10:00 AM.  Please tune in and gather in prayer for one another and the world around us.  Feel free to drop your greeting in the comments to extend our famous hospitality.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday, February 8, and returning to our regular programming. Be safe and stay warm!!
