Buildings & Grounds
Hickory Neck is blessed to have three lovely buildings
located on a 12 acre campus. We are
fortunate to have many parishioners who
willingly give of their time to keep the grounds beautiful and our buildings
safe and in good condition.
Volunteers provide basic handyman level maintenance such as changing light bulbs, minor plumbing, etc., on an as-needed basis.
The graveyard and memorial garden group provides care, upkeep maintenance, and marking of the Church Graveyard and Memorial Garden.
Everyone is invited to participate in spring and fall grounds cleanup workdays. Bring your own tools for pruning, weed pulling, and mulching. Breakfast and lunch are provided by Parish Life volunteers.
As the newest addition to our campus, our Community Garden is open to parishioners and gardeners from the local communities outside the parish. These gardeners are growing lots of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and friendships!
The garden club performs monthly maintenance and planting of the garden beds surrounding our buildings to beautify the church grounds. There are planned field trips to businesses of interest, such as a lavender farm, farmer's markets, etc. There are classes, activities, and speakers provided periodically.
